DANCE ACTION HOLIDAYS
Dance Action Holiday pride themselves in organising the complete dance holiday for you; travel, hotel, sports and dancing, offering you exceptional value and peace of mind!
Dance Action Holiday specialise in dance holidays with an active twist, summer and winter. Idyllic hotels with half board or all inclusive board, where everyone is made welcome and there are no hidden extra costs. Our holidays are run in a way to make sure that everyone gains the greatest enjoyment possible. Our aim is to help you enjoy your holiday and if you wish, improve your dancing and sport abilities in a relaxed inclusive holiday environment. The holidays offer outdoor activities and dance classes during the day and social dancing in the evenings. You can choose to take part in these activities or just relax.
The Managing Director Peter Kershaw has been organising activity and dance holidays since 1995. The original brand Ski and Rock was formed in 1997. Peter is experienced in a variety of outdoor activities and has acted as a coach for both skiing and skydiving. He has been involved with modern Jive, West Coast Swing Salsa for many years and has assisted at various dance venues, including the teaching of beginners.
Coaching is provided both for the daytime activities as well as for the evening dancing by our enthusiastic and friendly instructors. Social dancing takes place for the remainder of the evening after the lessons. Day and evening excursions are sometimes offered, with dancing either in the restaurant or a local bar. As we reach the end of the holiday we round things off with our themed party night.
Professional dance instructors provide lessons, for both beginner and improver dancers. Holidays include;
- Swing with Lindy Hop
- West Coast Swing with Modern Jive, Blues and Argentine Tango
- X body Salsa with Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Cha-cha-cha
Novice Dancers have just as much fun and laughter, learning new skills. Modern Jive also known as Ceroc or LeRoc is one of the easiest dances, with Salsa and Bachata taking a little longer to learn the dance timing and foot work. Beginners and relatively new dancers will be given simple basic lessons. Having two left feet is no bar at all, if you can walk you can dance! Partners are not necessary, as we all change partners throughout the evening. Experienced dancers and instructors will be out there to help you gain confidence.
